- I have been building homes all my adult life. I started my work career as a carpenter. After some time in and out of school, with a degree in Anthropology, I went back to what I really loved, home construction. I started the next phase of my career as a draftsman, then a project manager, finally ending up as the General Manager for the what was then the largest home builder in the region. In 1994 I started Wheatland Custom Homes, Inc. We have been building custom homes in Lancaster, Dauphin, Cumberland, York, Lebanon and Berks Counties, in other words, most all of south central Pennsylvania. Recently, the general market place conditions are pushing the housing market towards my passion, energy efficient houses. And low environmental impact houses. Both of these passions are addressed by the National Association of Home Builders Green Building program.
